Chief's Message

Foothills Fire and Rescue is built on a simple belief: neighbors take care of neighbors. With four dedicated full-time staff and more than 35 volunteer firefighters who give their time, talent, and heart, our department stands ready to protect the community we all call home.
Our firefighters train to the highest standards—Colorado Firefighter I, Wildland Firefighter Type 2, Hazardous Materials Operations, Emergency Medical Responder, and more. What truly sets them apart, however, is their commitment. Day or night, in every season, they continually sharpen their skills so they can meet any emergency with confidence and compassion.
Across our 25 square miles of foothills, we respond to structure fires, wildland incidents, hazardous materials calls, motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and the unexpected moments when someone needs help most. When the alarm sounds, our firefighters bring not only their training and equipment, but also their courage, teamwork, and deep sense of duty.
I am honored to lead this department. Every day, I witness men and women who step forward—not for recognition, but because they believe in service. Their dedication strengthens our community, and their example inspires all of us to look out for one another.
Foothills Fire & Rescue is more than a fire department. We are your neighbors, your partners, and your advocates for a safer, stronger community.
